This has a lot of potential. I like most ideas a lot to be honest. There also needs to be more visual clarity. Maybe the health bars of the balls should be on the balls.
This has the potential to become an extremely satisfying game where you have to carefully craft and maintain a build that can do crazy stuff.
thank you for your feedback! that's really how we envisioned it from the beginning. our upcoming goals will be to expand the concept and addressing visual clarity, and your idea is definitely on the "chopping block" xD
Nice game! You should mark this as being able to be run on mobile. I tried it on my phone and it worked okay. I only ran two levels at the moment because I'm getting ready to go home. I will try to play some more later.
After playing on the computer, I see that there are numbers to press on the keyboard. To make it mobile friendly, you can add code that says if the OS is Android or Apple(I forget the exact code) to enable some buttons on the left or right that allow you to activate the skills of each ball. (Just a suggestion)
Some questions/feedback that come from a good place: - Is it possible to sell a ball? I had a full roster of 8 with no way to upgrade/remove a ball. - The paddle doesn't seem to change ball trajectory except on the extreme edge. Would be nice to have greater control in the middle of the paddle. - Winning seems very random, except for the ability to choose purchases (strategy). Letting players influence each match will add skill to the game. - Upgraded Earth Ball with Earthquake upgrades is pretty powerful, but also the only way I could win. - Would be nice if paddle restored HP/SP for balls. - The game will become very rich as you add more balls/upgrades/enemies/etc. - Not totally sure what the white/blue icons in he ball stats mean.
Thank you for playing! This game is a prototype for us and we're definitely going to expand on the game more. Love your recommendations - some are already on the road map ;)
Cool game you have here. I felt OP by the end with a souped up predator ball flying around like a super saiyan destroying enemies in a single hit! Nice art and music, simple mechanics that makes the game easy to get into.
Would be cool to see some kind of incentive for hitting the balls with the paddle? Wasn't sure if it did anything other than give the balls a little more speed. Maybe if the paddle could be upgraded to provide buffs or restore mana?
Great work, looking forward to see how this game evolves!

Doesn't seem like there is a penalty for not launching balls, so could you cheese the game that way?
good game, but the balance seems a little off. Earth balls seem just better at everything than other balls.
thanks for the feedback (: we'll be doing a huge ball balance revamp in upcoming build
I forgot to read the how to play but understood perfectly anyways. Now that's great game design! :)
thanks so much Luki Cookie! we will for sure include a simpler, more intuitive tutorial that blends with the game in the future :)
that sounds awesome! :D

Oh good to know! We haven't really tested on mobile, but it seems like Godot 4.3 has some built-in support then. We'll take a look!

Yep that's what we're thinking!

thanks so much for your feedback!! I know for one this meant a lot to Chris, as that's exactly how he envisioned predator ball :D
regarding paddle, that's great design feedback that we'll be addressing in the upcoming iteration.
is there a way to keep in touch with you? we would love to hear your thoughts as we improve our game

No worries! I'm trying out streaming playthroughs of random itch games. Here is the video:
Are you guys on x or bluesky? We could probably keep in touch on there. Would be happy to give more feedback as you improve the game :)So far I've managed to clear 4 stages, but I think I've got hooked in to this game. Simple and well done!
thanks for playing JuTek! Look forward to your next game (:
